The commitment to direct international sourcing began with the recognition of the quality and variety available in global markets, particularly China.

  • The Foundation (JR Imports): The original JR Imports was created to efficiently source items like melamine from Chinese markets, cutting out intermediaries and securing competitive pricing and stable supply.
  • The Upgrade (UHGIE): As the UH Group grew and diversified into multiple sectors—from kitchenware (Sagar Marketing) to heavy furniture (Hamco)—the need for a single, powerful, and scalable import entity became essential. UHGIE was born from this vision, becoming a dedicated, full-service import and export arm.

This strategic upgrade ensures that all group companies benefit from streamlined customs, consolidated shipping, and expert international trade negotiation.

  • Sagar Marketing: Ensures a steady, quality-controlled supply of kitchen cutleries, cookwares, and daily home necessities.
  • Sagar Sales (Purchasing): Provides the specific finished goods for its Kedija brand and other non-manufacturing related trading stock.
  • Ojes Enterprises & JSJ Trade Group: Sources specialized lifestyle goods and melamine products as needed.
  1. Sourcing for Manufacturing

UHGIE acts as the global materials supplier for our industrial units:

  • Hamco Furniture Industries: Procures specialized hardware, high-quality fabric, and other non-local components required for sofa sets and wardrobes.
  • VMH Industries: Sources the necessary particle boards, fittings, and other industrial inputs for manufacturing study tables and utility items.
  1. Global Operational Presence

To maintain seamless supply, UHGIE operates with an established international framework:

  • Overseas Office and Staff: The UHGIE maintains dedicated offices and personnel in key sourcing countries (like China) to oversee quality checks, manage supplier relationships, and ensure rapid, accurate loading and dispatch of goods.
  • Logistical Mastery: This direct presence allows the Group to navigate complex global logistics, customs clearance, and fluctuating international trade environments with expertise and speed.
